This recruitment will be used to fill one full-time Education Program Assistant 1 position for the Division of Extension and Engagement’s Extension Clatsop County Office with Oregon State University (OSU).
This Education Program Assistant 1 (EPA1) position is based at the Oregon State University Division of Extension and Engagement’s (division) Extension Service Clatsop County Office and will serve Clatsop County. This 4-H EPA1 is a member of the regional and statewide team of the OSU Extension 4-H Youth Development Program.

Key Responsibilities
What We Require
High School Diploma or equivalent and at least two years of relevant experience (paid or volunteer), supporting community programs that serve children, youth, or adults
OR Associate Degree and one year of work experience (paid or volunteer) which must be working in youth development programs, adult education, teaching, program delivery or related functions
AND
Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated skill to work with diverse audiences.
Demonstrated skill to use computers for word processing, data management, and communications.

What We Would Like You to Have
- Experience (paid or volunteer) organizing, managing, delivering or supporting educational programs for youth and/or adults.
- Experience (paid or volunteer) with Extension and/or Extension 4-H Youth Development, other youth development, or other agency functions related to this position.
- Experience utilizing databases or other data management software.
- Experience (paid or volunteer) with animal science programs.
- Ability to deliver pre-approved non-credit curriculum and programs.
- Ability to develop printed or digital media (such as newsletters or web content) that reach broad and diverse audiences.
- Ability to incorporate use of web, social media, newsletter or other digital technologies in program development or outreach activities to achieve goals.
Working Conditions / Work Schedule
- Flexibility to work non-standard schedule: evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight stays may be required based on programming needs, coordinating with supervisor to adapt work schedule to address community programming needs.
- Access to a vehicle is necessary as duties will require travel/driving throughout Clatsop County to support and deliver non-credit programming and services. Business mileage will be reimbursed based on OSU Policies. For information on vehicle use: https://risk.oregonstate.edu/vehicles.
- Ability to transport (lift/carry/push/pull) up to 30 lbs. of program materials and equipment, and to maneuver across rugged terrain (such as outdoor camps, fair, etc.).
- Position duties will include working in a variety of environments including professional offices, county fairs, and outdoors. Some activities will occur in field locations, at youth camps, fairgrounds, etc.
- Fast-paced, collaborative, and dynamic work environments can be expected.
